We were tasked with creating a product campaign celebrating our true differentiator in the luggage category - a legacy of relentless German engineering. It’s a subject often seen as cold and dry. Not at RIMOWA. Ingenieurskunst is a word that only exists in German, used by our engineers, which literally translates into The Art of Engineering.
The campaign interprets the authentic manufacturing steps of the iconic Classic Cabin as physical, kinetic art installations. Using the suitcase’s real deconstructed components, each installation illustrates the poetry of our process - a symphonic harmony of raw materials.

As a nod to the brand’s birthplace of Cologne, and where all Classic Cabins are created to this day, we collaborated with the Gürzenich Orchester Köln to create a symphonic cover of Daft Punk’s iconic Around The World for the campaign. Recorded live at the Kölner Philharmonie, it was literally Engineered in Köln - just like the suitcase itself.
